Church of the Foothills is located in beautiful Sylmar, California, which rests alongside the San Fernando Valley's northern-most mountain chain in Los Angeles County. Being just a few miles from the 5, 405, 118, 210, 170, and 14 freeways, church members come to our worship services not only from the Sylmar area, but also from communitities such as Northridge, Santa Clarita, Glendale, and Simi Valley. The congregation is multi-cultural, enjoys a rich amount of diversity, and has a large, active, and growing youth group. The church has been in Sylmar for over 30 years now, and Pastor Sam Platts has been the minister for the last 28 years.
