Our remodeled sanctuary: Very different for a Lutheran Church, perhaps the shape of things to come. Our congregation decided to do away with the religious trappings accumulated in the middle ages and to return to a more primitive vision of the church, a family gathered around the table. Table and chairs replace the altar and pews. The family joyously stands in a circle around the table for communion. Hopefully this will give visitors a better understanding of what the Christian faith is about. |
